Boot Menu Delay
After you do this, the annoying delay in Windows Start menu is gone. However, I noticed that Office also has similar annoying delays when opening its menus, except it does not abide by the changes you can make with TweakUI to the Start menu delay. I am trying to find the registry setting where I can control this

Right Click Menu delay with IE6
The menu delay was useless in 95 and myself (and most other 95 users, I'll bet) turned it off immediately or set it to a very low number. Without this, it feels like the GUI is now mired in molasses. All, I have a problem with the right click menu in IE6. There seems to be a 3-4 second delay before the menu appears after you right click on a web page. This happens all the time. The pc is a Tecra 8000 with Windows 2000 Pro, Office 2000 and IE6. This delay started after upgrading from Windows NT 4.0.

I'm having problems with the right click in the code window. When I do a right click it takes upto 10 seconds before displaying the menu! Has anyone else experienced this? How did you fix it? I've also noticed the same delay when I use the directory drop down in the File dialogs. This is getting very frustrating.

Intermintily I have noticed a delay when right clicking a file, folder, or Icon. The delay may be from a second or two to minutes. There is nothing major running in the background, virus scan, defrag, etc, and the systems are relatively fast. I have found nothing that helps on Goggle, any ideas?

As a holdover from some tweaks in Win98, my start menu is still set to expand menus instantaneously with no delay... This was great in 98/ME, but baaaad news in XP, where now I can't even quickly roll my mouse over the "ALL PROGRAMS" label without it taking the time to expand... Really aggravating.
